bsm walk-a-hunt.

last sunday which is the 14th of december, we had this bsm walk-a-hunt. it is quite similar like amazing race in terms of solving riddles, searching for clues, locate a specific place and doing physical challenge the only difference is well... bsm walk-a-hunt takes place only in bandar while the amazing race, you have to travel around the world haha. the competition is open to all age 16 and above so my friends and i decided to join and have a go. 410 teams joined this event and only the top 25 will receive prizes.

my team and my friends:
no.081 - Umi and Qilah
no.190 - Nadjma and Emah
no.191 - Daus and Hazim
no.192 - Akmal and Arif

note that only two person is allowed in one team.

the competition has 3 legs and 2 challenges:
leg 1 - 10 points
leg 2 - 45 points
leg 3 - 50 points
challenge 1 - 10 points
challenge 2 - 10 points

so its a total of 125 points altogether. the time given for the hunt is only four and a half hours and it doesnt matter who finish first, what matter is the points collected.

the hunt was really tiring, we were running all over the place searching for clues and answers and figuring out the riddle at the same time, we cant afford to rest because if we do we'll be wasting valuable time and if we summit our answer sheet late there will be reduction in points. it was really hard, we had to think outside of the box which is good training for our brains haha. we did crack some riddle but also had help from nadjma's aunt who is really really good at solving the riddles and we thanked her for that.

the hunt ends at 12.30, by then we were so tired and hungry so we decided to eat at C.A Mohamad. thanks to this event bandar is now more familiar to us haha we were able to locate stores that we want easily. by 3.30 we went to the pggmb building for the prize presentation. hazim and i was shocked when were awarded the 20th place out of 410 teams haha not bad eh. but still i was confused that the rest didnt get anything i mean they deserve it too plus most of our answers are the same. only the top 15 get to travel, we were so close haha, so anyways here are pictures, its not much haha.

MD friends.

This is just a random post, Hazim asked me to post about my friends in MD. that is what i'll be doing now. its kinda obvious judging from the tittle haha. since Hazim is the one who asked me to do this, i guess i'll be introducing him to you first. and yes, i'll make it short and simple.

Hazim Halim

hmm..what can i say about Hazim? First, he's a manu fan..boooo! haha. he likes to sing random lovey-dovey songs in school and people usually sing along with him. he havent cut his hair for months now, but he is able to avoid the discipline teacher by either running away or using different routes where there is no discipline teacher walking and monitoring.we go to the same history class and we used to come in late but not anymore since our teacher is not falling for our reasons anymore. he thinks that his socio teacher hates him, well judging from what i see, i think she does haha . thats it i guess, actually there is more but im just too lazy to type it down haha. now lets move on to the next guy.

Akmal Japin

A very funny guy, his sarcasm is just so hilarious. he's quite creative too, there is this game that we played by which if a person sees this circle your fingers make, you have to punch that person and the circle has to be below the waist. this guy here created a lot of ways to make people look at the circle, he even named it for example the cibai fall or the iron-man and many more haha. we both go to the same registration class and we're the coolest in that particular class hahahaha!

Arif Roslan.

we've been friends since primary school and now we're in college. time passed by so quick haha so cliche. he has six packs and a buff chest, just look at the photo for evidence hahaha. he's a skater and knows how to play musical instruments such as the guitar and drums. his drawings is pretty cool. both of us are a big fan of apples as in the fruit hahaha! its crunchy, delicious and keeps the doctor/dentist away. now on to the next one.

Hanis Kassim

we've been friends since secondary school. oh mann, this guy haha he is full of it. he can make you laugh your ass off with his spontaneous jokes and much more. definitely one of the funniest guy ever emerged. and he's pretty good at playing the guitar hence the picture. he loves playing football and he's a manu and also an arsenal fan but still manu comes first. boooo!

Khairul Ikhwan

we just call him k.i its much more simple and easier. he's in my socio class, and we talk a lot haha mostly about football. we tend to discuss about football in every angle in terms of players profile, their salary, football strategy, club's income, transfers and so much more. its like being a football pundit just like the one in that show called 'football focus'. k.i also like free food haha who doesnt. so if there is someone giving out free food, he'll be the first to know haha.

left to right: Jesus and Awit

Awit's real name is Arifubillah but we just call him Awit. he is also a hilarious guy, super-hilarious in fact haha. he plays football for Gunners, a very strong team. he is one of the fastest people in school when it comes to sprinting thats why its hard to catch up with him when he's dribbling the ball. a respected guy in football

Jesus haha his real name is Asri, he got that nickname from arif(not arif roslan) who's currently in uk. Asri is one of the few people who knows how to solve the rubics cube. he also do magic tricks with his deck of cards and quite artistic too.

Qawiy Ariffin(left)

ive known him since primary school, thats way back haha. his laughter is contagious so when he laughs you'll laugh along with him haha trust me. he's a pretty good driver even though he has no license yet haha and still his parents let him drive, how cool is that!? he is also a manu fan boooo! its like im the only liverpool fan here haha.
okay thenn, moving on now.

Wanna Ismadi

she is probably our event planner/manager/host haha. almost all the beach party and bouncer party is hosted and planned by her, all we have to do is come how easier can it get haha. wanna get invited? be friends with her haha dont worry she's super friendly.

and lastly...

the jonas sisters haha
left to right: Nadjma, Umi and Emah

Nadjma, she's nice and cleverrr haha i mean she passed all her subjects while i passed only one. the subjects we took are all the same socio, eas, hist and geo and four of our tooth have fillings because of cavity hahah random. she's fun to annoy haha.

Umi, ive known her since secondary school and from what i see she's hyper active, she will play tennis with them nadjma and emah to express her activeness haha. she's in my eas class same as nadjma, its hard to separate them two haha.

Emah, ive known her since secondary school too and now she's my geo mate, every time she skips class i'll be the one who covers for her, she owes me! haha. just like nadjma and umi, she loves playing tennis and very good at it too.

well..thats about it,damnn thats my longest post ever haha and i owe it all to Hazim for forcing me to do this haha

later people.

Goze vs HB

Today we had a match against HB. the last time we faced them we suffered a lost and now we're trying to redeem ourselves by winning this game if possible. These were the starting line-up:-

GK Wazzinie

RB Faiz
CRB Mirul
CLB Haris
LB Kiyul

RW Qawiy
CM Daus thats me haha
CM Muiz
LW Awit

LS Wafi
RS Hafiz

Subs:
Hazim, Luqman, Arif and Hanis(he came late)

at the first ten mins of the game it was pretty even from both sides, most of the battle was carried in the midfield area. five mins later, out of no where one of HB's midfielder shoots the ball from quite a distance, my estimation is about 35 yards..and he scored. the keeper had no chance since the ball was traveling towards the top corner with high speed. then..not long after that the same midfielder who scored earlier, passed the ball through our defense and their striker was at the end of it...guess what? he scored. so now HB is leading by two goals by the end of the first half. it could have been 2-1 instead of 2-0 because i missed a great opportunity earlier on and muiz hit the crossbar. we were very unlucky and the field was bumpy making it hard to judge the ball's movement. during the second half of the game we changed our formation.

GK Wazzinie

RB Luqman
CRB Faiz
CLB Mirul
LB Haris

RW Qawiy
CM Awit
CM Arif
LW Daus

LS Hazim
RS Wafi

sub: Hanis

before the 2nd half starts Awit told us that we can still win this game so we turned our game face on and start the 2nd half with a different attitude. it was starting to pay off since we were creating a lot of chances and gained control of the game more, we dictated the pace of the game in the 2nd half. Then, Hanis went in for Wafi so he played left wing while i switch to left striker. not long after that Hanis was dribbling the ball from the wing area towards the centre, the HB's right back got pulled in and this created space for Haris to make a run down the line which he does then hanis passed the ball to him. at this point i was already making my run towards the centre of the penalty box. then with his outside foot Haris crossed the ball towards me and i volleyed it with my right foot and scored. its 2-1 now. then five mins before the game ends Qawiy won a free-kick in the middle of the park, Awit took the free-kick, he kicked the ball towards the front post with pace then Haris runs towards the ball and reached it before the keeper does, he flicked the ball with his head, Hanis was not far behind and so he was there for an easy tap in. now the score is 2-2 and it stayed like this untill the end of the game.

so yeahh at first we looked like we were going to lose but in the end our efforts to comeback and fight back denied that. we could have won though. but still credit to HB for making it a hard fought game.

Cesc Fabregas is actually Sylar haha!

Cesc Fabregas is a young and talented football player, playing for Arsenal wearing the no.4 jersey. he also plays for the spanish football team and helped them lift the European cup this year. on the other hand, Sylar is an evil super villain who kills people who has super natural power so that he can own their powers and destroy the world. so we have two totally different characters here....but they have one similarity between them and that particular similarity is...*drum rolls*....their looks! refer to the picture below for evidence.

see how similar they look.

Cesc Fabregas

Sylar

so what do you guys think? haha.

Candy man.

i will now proclaim myself as the candy man....why you asked? its because i provide enough amount of candy for people to enjoy and get cavity. the word 'candy' comes from Arabic qandi, deprived from Persian qand, meaning sugar and it has nothing to do with my post haha. just some random facts. as proof that i, dose from kilanas the first son of shahron, have enough amount of candy to give you guys sugar rush, refer to the picture below.

my bag full of candy.

so if you guys want candy, you know who to find. and yes its free, how generous of me..hahaha. so yeahh see you guys in school. peace out!

Geography assignment.

My geo teacher gave the class an assignment about plate tectonics about a week ago so yeahh...he gave us one week to do four simple questions...and as usual i delayed. i started doing the work about five hours ago and it took me two hours to complete them and i knoww....you guys might be thinking 'what the hell! four questions two hours!' it turns out that, the questions weren't so simple...once i read them and fully understand it haha. i used the internet to answer most of the questions so thank you major figures such as Leonard Kleinrock, J.C.R Licklider, Larry G.Roberts, Bob Kahn, Vint Cerf and Radia Perlman for making internet a reality. i got nothing else to say so im just going to post my geo hw here. enjoy reading these boring facts but at the same time fill your mind with knowledge.

p.s i dont know if my answers are right, so you judge.

Plate Tectonics.

1. 1.a) Define the terms continental plate and oceanic plate.

- Continental plate is a crustal material located within the continent, it is more buoyant and heavy making it very hard to subduct when colliding.

- Oceanic plate is also a crustal material located in the oceans, it is lesser in thickness and weight compared to continental plate which makes it easy to subduct when colliding.

b) Describe one landform that may develop at a convergent plate boundary.

- The nature of a convergent boundary depends on the type of lithosphere in the plates that are colliding. Where a dense oceanic plate collides with a less-dense continental plate, the oceanic plate is typically thrust underneath because of the greater buoyancy of the continental lithosphere, forming a subduction zone. At the surface, the topographic expression is commonly an oceanic trench on the ocean side and a mountain range on the continental side. An example of a continental-oceanic subduction zone is the area along the western coast of South America where the oceanic Nazca Plate is being subducted beneath the continental South American Plate.

22. With the aid of a diagram describe the principal features of a divergent plate boundary.

Divergent boundaries are areas in which plates move away from each other. The majority of these divergent boundaries are located along the crests of the mid-oceanic ridges, continental rift valley is the place where continent is pulling apart and sometimes continent will break-up entirely, an ocean basin will form. As the plates separate, fractures occur which are immediately filled with molten rock that up wells from the asthenosphere. This hot material cools and creates a new seafloor. As a result, new oceanic crust (lithosphere) is continuously being created between the diverging plates. The older crust moves away from the boundary, as it does so, it cools and contracts hence increasing in density and in thickness. This is why the older and cooler oceanic crusts are deeper. This average rate of spreading is about 5 cm per year.

1. How does an understanding of plate tectonics help to explain the development of earth’s crustal features?

- The understanding of plate tectonics will help to explain the development of earth’s crustal features, in plate tectonics we study about the movement of the earth’s crust, the movement is concentrated in narrow belts along ridges, deep sea trenches and major strip-like faults. These long linear features are not isolated, but are interconnected in a global network and represent the boundaries for 12 plates. When one type of feature is terminated it is transformed into a boundary of different type. There are three types of plate boundaries that can also explain the development of earth’s crustal features and they are divergent plate boundary, convergent plate boundary and transform boundaries. Each one will develop different types of features, for example in convergent plate boundaries, when ocean-continent collision occur ocean trenches will form along the margin of the continent, volcanic arc will take form along the margin of the continent , foreland fold and thrust belt are also likely to form. So by understanding plate tectonics along with its principal and how it works, we will be able to explain the development of earth’s crustal features.

Goze.

us goze had a match against this team called fevernova...well i don't actually know how to spell it correctly haha. anyways this was the 1st team formation:-

GK qawiy
LB kiyul
CRB mirul
CLB harris
RB faez

LW awit
CRM daus(your's truly lol)
CLM arif
RW azim murni aka kaka

LS qimi
RS hafiz manila boy

subs:
luqman
k.i
nabil
hazim halim
zul
akee

the game was tight although we had more ball possession, passed the ball more, better linking with players, created more openings and had more chances. i played more like a defensive midfielder than an attacking one which is quite new to me, im the future xabi alonso lol. mirul and harris were solid like a rock, the opposition was not able to pass through them, thumbs up to both of them. awit and azim created a lot of openings making it easier for us midfield to pass the ball to an open space. let me just say that awit's dribbling skills are amazing. upfront qimi and hafiz made a lot of diagonal runs creating chaos in the enemy's defense.

in the second half, all the subs went in replacing tired players and there was still no difference but 20 mins before the game ends zul cuts in from the wing and shoot the ball with his left foot and scored, it was a nice individual goal but credit to all the players for pressuring the opposition high up in the pitch. and it stayed 1-0 untill the game ends which means we won. credit to the opposition for making it a hard fought game.

Socio hw.

my teacher assigned the whole class a homework and she gave us one week to finish it and guess what.......i was not able to finish it in one week haha typical me, i procrastinate a lot. so i have to pass up the work tomorrow which is one day late. the last hw she gave us, i passed it up 3 days late haha. luckily it only took me less than 4 hours to complete it, which suprises me a lot because i thought it will take me longer to finish it. since im really bored right now, im going to post my socio work here. enjoy reading haha! and tell me what you think of it...haha

Sociology Homework.

1. Distinguish between sex and gender.

- Sex refers to the biological differences between the sexes while gender is the behavioral differences men and women.

2. Describe two sources of evidence that maybe used to sociologist to show that gender differences are socially constructed.

- There is a lot of evidence that can be used by sociologist to show that gender differences are socially constructed. Two of them are, Family and Media. Family is the key agency of primary socialization, it identifies the processes of canalization, manipulation and verbal appellations. From the very first day they are born children are steered into socially accepted gender stereotypes. It is not only dress and toys that produce gender differences but also the interaction between adults and children is structured by gender assumptions. The media in all its forms plays a particular role in gender socialization because it influence crosses the border between primary and secondary socialization. From a very early age, children are exposed to the influence of cartoons and children’s literature. Traditional fairy tales such as beauty and the beast, Cinderella, snow white, little red riding hood, Pocahontas, Jane in tarzan and many more convey latent image of women as the weaker sex and man as the stronger one. Studies of children’s literature and reading schemes show how females are presented in domestic roles. In conclusion, these evidence showed that gender differences are socially constructed.

3. Explain the role of the family in gender socialization.

- Family plays an important role in gender socialization because family is the key in primary socialization. In a family, the parents will always teach the boy how to become a boy and the girl how to become a girl. Parents will treat them differently for example, parents will buy the boy manly toys such as soldiers, car, truck, gun etc. while the girl will get the total opposite for example dolls, ponies etc. even in clothes, parents will buy a blue for the boy and pink for the girl, this is due to perceptions. This factor will help in shaping the gender of that particular someone. The way parents treat a boy and a girl is also different for example, if a boy cries, the parents will ask him to stop crying and be a man, but if a girl cries, the parents will give her a hug. This type of practice will make the boy tougher than the girl, which also contributes to gender socialization. The parents will also encourage the boy to do sports while the girl is encourage to do housework which is a domestic role. Parents do this because it is general and due to again, perceptions.

4. Assess feminist explainations of gender differences.

- They are many explainations from a feminist view about gender differences. This is because there are five types of feminist and they are, liberal feminist, radical feminist, Marxist feminist, black feminism and post-modernism feminism.

The liberal feminist, they argue that the so-called difference between man and women are not innate but the result of socialization and ‘sex-role conditioning’. The different ways that boys and girls are treated from birth discourages women developing their full potential. In this way women are oppressed in society and are seen as subordinate to men. Therefore, to liberate women it is necessary to show that men and women are equal in potential, thus their concern is with fighting for equal fights. In conclusion, they advocates and supports equal rights legislation but failed to explore other explainations for inequalities.

The radical feminist, their basic theory is men are the enemy. They argue that there has always been a sexual division of labour underpinning and reinforcing a system of male domination. Male defined ideas about women’s natural roles and behavior persist in all spheres of society and therefore benefits men and serves to keep women subordinate and inferior to men. Men use their aggression to control women and are thus able to maintain their dominant position. To be free, women need to separate themselves from male domination. In conclusion, they highlight the dark side of the family but failed to account for the different experience of women, particularly in relation and the role of capital.

Next is Marxist feminist, they recognizes both the role of capitalism and patriarchy. Men exercises power over woman and in capitalist societies patriarchy takes a specific form. With industrialization women lost certain legal rights and were excluded from certain spheres of paid work compared to men who gained certain political, legal and economic rights. Women become dependent on males and male needs dominated both within marriage and wider society. Marriage and motherhood became women’s primary role with limited access to paid work. Women serve the needs of capitalism because they are cheap source of labour and reproduce future labour at little cost to capital. In conclusion, they are linked in the role of capital but failed to explore the experiences of men.

Black feminism, they argue that white feminist have ignored the position of black women. Black women have a double disadvantage as they are oppressed by racism in white society and by patriarchy. In conclusion, they highlighted colour blind nature of feminist but ignores similarities between different women’s groups.

Post-modernism feminism, they challenge assumptions around gender identities, they suggested that there are now a range of identities from which women and men can choose from. In conclusion, they highlighted the changes in society however ignores that for some people there is limited choice and the power of gender ideology.

Goze.

left to right : akmal, k.i, kimi and luque(i cant find your pic lol)

Goze 4 - 2 Avenue 17

we had a match against avenue 17 about 7 hours ago haha and we won! the 4 dudes i mentioned earlier are the scorers during the match for Goze. i played too, but i didnt play well because of the stupid leg cramp haha. during the match we scored 1st through kimi, awit the left winger passed a beautiful through ball to kimi and he just side foot the ball in. a few minutes after that, avenue 17 equalized with a wonderful worked goal. and right before the break, the struck again leaving the score line 2-1 at the break. at half time, we made two substitutes, akmal and qawiy went in to replace zul and arif. these two people made a good impact in the second half. 10 minutes after the restart, akmal scored a tap in from kimi's cross so that made the score 2-2. that goal totally regained our confidence. 15 minutes before the game ends, we made another substitute, wafi replaced me, k.i replaced awit and luque replaced hafiz. a few minutes later, qawiy earned a freekick and k.i took the responsibility. he scored a brilliant goal which makes the score 3-2. then not long after that, qawiy threaded the ball to luque, he skipped passed one defender easily before beating the keeper at the near post, which makes the final score 4-2. Overall, everyone did a great job. we are now 2nd in the table, our next match is on thursday. To ensure our qualification to the next round, we have to win this upcoming match.

Lexus Girl !

i was at the bank in kiulap with my parents, my dad is doing some things with his card. i dont exactly know what haha. soo i was sitting at the sofa reading the newspaper next to my mom when this girl came in and straight away my eyes was stuck on her. she was with her brother and i was like 'damn she's hot!'. right after that, my dad was done doing the thing he was doing and soo we had to like leave the bank. on my way out, i looked at her but she didnt look back. so i was like 'does this mean im not going to see her again? sigh~'

the story doesnt end there.

after that my mom wanted to go and shop for groceries at hua ho kiulap, so as usual i was the one who pushed the cart around while my dad is at the electronics centre. i bought alot of snacks by the way haha. after 45 mins, everything was done, the cart was full haha. so i pushed the cart out while my dad gets the car. i stopped infront of the black lexus car and and guess what? the girl i saw earlier was on her way to that particular car and her dad was in the car. her dad raise his arm and guess what, he was waving my mom!haha. when my dad arrived, the lexus car was already reversing and so i stared at her, and she was staring at me too, there was eye to eye contact and after awhile she smiled at me haha so i smiled back. =D yeay~ haha.

after finish loading the stuffs into the car, i asked my mom who was that guy. my mom said that, that guy is opening a restaurant somewhere in kiulap, the reason my mom knows this is because my mom works at the law building, where people register their business. so yeah, my mom is engaged in business and lawyer stuffs haha. and and i asked my mom for the location of the restaurant so maybe i'll go there someday and meet her again haha.

this particular incident happened on friday, 18th april =)
